fetching job id in sales invoice list

I want a new field job Id which would populate the job id associated with the sales invoice .

How could this be achieved.

I added the field but the job number associated with the sales order is not populating.I want the job no. to show

the job id has to be populated once the job is associated with the sales invoice or at the sales invoice creation

What do you mean by "job is associated with the sales invoice or at the sales invoice creation" - I'm sorry, I still don't understand your scenario. Can you please describe your scenario step by step like:

1. User (or integration or whatever) creates Invoice.

2. User (or integration or whatever) populates the "Job" lookup field in the form of an Invoice.

3. Automatic process triggers on that event and updates an Invoice's "Job Id" field with "Job Id" field from the "Job".

I create an invoice from sales invoice page.

go to jobs then jobs planning lines

select the jobs planning lines and try t associate the job line with the sales invoice

Now in my sales invoice page there is a new field job Id that has to be populated with the job id of the job table

The below page is where I want to add the Job id field.Which would populate the Job id from the job table.JobId of the corresponding job line

Can you please provide screenshots or a detailed description of what you mean with "associate the job line with the sales invoice?

The screenshot above is a new field Jobid that I need to add in the Sales invoice page.

This jobId should automatically populate the job Id that is there in the Job planning Lines.

This value from the job planning Lines I need to pass into each record of the newly created jobid field.

i.e. I have to fetch the corresponding job Id of each row and set in the job Id field
