Hello,

I'm trying to learn AL and business central. I installed VS code and AL extension. But I need environment (tenant). When I tried to follow Microsoft Learn tips and login to sandbox system gives me an error "We're sorry. D365 Business Central isn't currently available for your account". Also system asked for my work account.  Is there any way to use any trial environment for the learning private purposes where I can develop an extension from Microsoft Learn guide?

Thank you.

Why not you install the On-Prem Version and then do whatever you wish. You will learn configuring everything too.

Thanks for the answer but the video was uploaded more than a year ago and it seems something changed since then. There is no direct link for creating work account anymore

Inside Microsoft 365 there are only payable subscriptions available.

I suppose that On-prem version is payable and I need to install database also what is impossible to do on my home laptop. DB is usually huge.

If you’re employed by a partner you can spin up your own. If not ask your partner to do it for you: docs.microsoft.com/.../demo-environment

An environment with docker would be another option: hub.docker.com/.../microsoft-businesscentral-sandbox

It's actually very simple. Register for an Office 365 trial and with that email adres register for a BC Saas trial. (trials.dynamics.com)

Make sure that when you register for an Office365 trial that during the process you select a country (US, UK,...) for which there's a BC version, because not all countries are supported. (Country/region availability and supported languages - Business Central | Microsoft Docs)
