Create a Process with Picklist that can pick up additional information.

Hello.

I am looking to create a Process that will allow a user to select five people from a list of twenty choices, and have those five choices be inserted into an e-mail. The part that I am having difficulty with is that each of the twenty choices has a URL to their bio.  I need that URL to also be included in the e-mail.

I know I could create an Option Set with the choices and create a Dialog process, but that doesn't allow me to include the URL.

My first thought was to create a new Entity that contained two fields, Name and URL, and then use that Entity in a dialog using a lookup.  When I create it that way, I do not see the fields I need to lookup - just fields like Owner, Modified etc.

The idea is that a user will be able to run this Process on a list generated by an Advanced Find and send off an e-mail to records in the list that will contain the names & Bio URL of the people selected in the process

Is there a way to accomplish what I am looking to do?

Thanks

Ed Fishman

You should consider that CRM Entities are self defined in its deployment, that means you compose your "sub entity" from a native CRM Entity, which is not a CRM Entity itself. Second, URLs taken from bio are scripted under a Text area and not from a define URL field self depicated under http:// form. Find a way to extract URL and then, you should be able to link Name and URL in the same lookup or "entity".

    Good Luck!

You really lost me with that response.

Not sure what you mean by 'find a way to extract URL'.   The URL is extracted in the sense that it is a simple www.xxxx.com/bio/user that we are putting in a URL text field.

    Thanks
