Update allocation accounts

I have the destination edit mode set to insert and update and it keeps producing an error. The error says that the account already exists. Shouldn't insert and update disregard this? How do I get around it? I have hundreds of accounts that need the percentages updated and it would be extremely cumbersome to go and delete each account just so it can be updated.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have you given consideration to using a mail-merge macro?   Works for updating many other windows/tables...

Nope, we haven't. Only because we had never heard of one before. Thank you for the advice though. For future people looking into this here is a good walk-through as to what a mail-merge macro is:
