Http failure during parsing following event website deployment to portal

Posted on by 420

Hi all,

I successfully installed dynamics 365 Marketing and opted to host the Event Website on a Portal.

Portal was working fine but I needed to customise the styling so went on the journey to download a sample website and re-deploy using the powershell script.

Files all updated ok following deployment but portal now broken with following error:

"http failed during parsing for https://xxxxx.powerappsportals.com/api/events/published/?ts=1630871762357"

Only issue I see in the browser network log is referring to a favicon icon?

Any ideas? I see someone has had this error previously on this forum, but the issue was resolved offline.

Thanks

Alex

    Hi all,

I have been able to resolve this issue by restoring the portals config back to out of the box using the configuration migration tool, steps here:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/developer/manually-overwriting-sample-website

Then I have re-deployed my customisation changes using the DeployToDynamics365Instance.ps

Somehow it appears a previous deployment run via PowerShell had removed the source code in the PortalAPI web template.

Reverting to out of the box restored this and then the subsequent PowerShell deployment didn't overwrite this code.

Thanks Frank, but I am not using a custom domain so shouldn't require CORS to be enabled, and I don't see any error in the console.

One thing I can't seem to do is test the site locally as I can't find any CSRF setting in the PortalAPI web template, the template is blank which is making me wonder if this is causing the other issue.

Looking at the modifiedon date/time the PortalAPI web template was updated when I ran the PowerShell deployment script but it appears blank, so I can't find any flag to change.

    Thanks
