Registration Form - Contact related questions

Hi,

At the moment when we register to an Event , we can only enter in a First Name, Last Name and Email Address.

I know that we can add Custom Registration Questions - but these questions do not go into/update the Contact Entity. Is it possible to set up custom questions that update the Contact entity, e.g. Address, Phone or Date of Birth?

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Hey Russell,

This is functionality that is on our roadmap, and is coming out in an upcoming release, approximately scheduled for the early summer.

    Hi nmk,

Thanks for your reply but it’s not what I’m after. The custom questions in the document you provided sit in a separate entity to Contact, i.e. a Custom Response entity that is related to the Event.

The information provided through those questions does not flow back to the Contact. For example, if I add a Mobile Phone number or Street Address as a custom field - this doesn’t update the Contact’s mobile phone or street address. It’s just stored in the Custom Response entity.

The current Custom Questions functionality provided is more suitable for event related questions that is not needed at the contact level, e.g. what’s your dietary requirement? Hope that makes sense.

    Hi Yen,

You can add custom fields to a registration form.

Please see the below article on how to do that.
