Additional Positions tab on Employee Maintenance Card

I have a user on 2013 12.00.1538 SP2. When we clicking on the Additional Positions tab on the Employee Maintenance Card it brings up the Employee Seat Assignment window rather than the Employee Positions window. My test system is on 2013 12.00.1482 and the Employee Positions window displays but I am not sure if it is because of the build or a setting. Can anyone give me some insight on this?

Did you face this issue for particular user or all users (Including sa)?

All users in this company but when I log into Fabrikam as this user I see the Employee Position window. In Fabrikam under Setup>Human Resources>Position Control, there is only one choice Position Control but logged into the clients company there are 7 additional menu choices so it appears Position Control is turned on for this clients company but can you tell me how / where it was turned on?

Hi Nasha,

We don't use Position Control in HR/PR, but the extract below provided by the GP HR guide may give you a hint :

Position control is optional. For companies other than the sample company, you use registration to activate it. Position control is especially useful for state and local governments, schools, and other organizations that depend on public funding.

To change this feature back so that Employee Positions window open from the Employee Card when clicking on the Additional Positions button go to Administration>Setup>System>Registration and uncheck Position Control.
