Business Intelligence Template

Dear AX Dynamics Expert.

Greetings!!!

I've a request regarding AX Dynamics 2012 R3 RTM version.

This is actually related to Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 that I've installed.

When I create new project using this Microsoft Visual Studio, do you know how to enable Business Intelligence template?

I've just seen Microsoft Dynamics AX template. I think it is because I've already installed Visual Studio Tools using the AX Installer. So the template is appeared.

But for Business Intelligence template, I thought it can be done by installing component "Reporting Services Extensions" and "Analysis Services Configuration". But the installation always stucks in pre requisite "microsoft sql server reporting services web service".

I've already maintained the reporting web services using SQL Server Reporting Service Manager and the service is working well until now.

Please need your advice.

    Dear AX Dynamics Expert,

    Now I am able to install "Reporting Services Extensions" and "Analysis Services Configuration" from AX installer.

    But I need your advice how to enable Business Intelligence template in Microsoft Visual Studio Ultimate 2010 like below example?

    When I open Microsoft Visual Studio, only Microsoft Dynamics AX template is appeared.

    Please need your advice.

    Dear AX Dynamics Expert,

    I found that to enable Business Intelligence Template, you must install SSDT-BI component.

    My AX version is only supported Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.

    I can only find SSDT-BI component for Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 and above.

    May I know the URL to install SSDT-BI component for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010?

    Dear AX Dynamics Expert,

    I've found the solution.

    You can find the SQL Server Data Tools compatible with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 in SQL Server 2012 installer.

    After installed the feature, BI template can now be seen in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 when you create the template.
