Plugin Registration Tool not showing the new plugins

Hi,

CRM 2016 On premise.

We have a set of plugins in a project. We tried to add a new plugin class and update the plugin through registration tool. When I select the assembly and click load assembly it does not show the newly added plugin (Class). The class and execute method is declared as public. But I don't know why the new class is still not showing up. To investigate further I remove an existing plugin (Class). Then when I load the assembly to deleted  plugin is still showing. How does the registration tool shows a class which does not exist in the assembly. It looks the plugin registration tool is loading from cache. I restarted the IIS, server without success. This look strange. Please help.

    Hi,

Please post some screenshots and some sample code, I'm sure you just made some simple mistake. From the description you are clearily not using correct assembly (you are building assembly in Visual Studio and loading different assembly to thr PRT). Your description indicate that - if you are loading not the assembly you are building in Visual Studio, the new plugin will not show and the old plugin will not disappear. So just check in your VS Output window where is assembly that you just built and make sure that you are loading it in PRT. There is no caching in PRT. Also make sure you are using PRT from your version of CRM.

No. I am using the correct DLL. Every time I verify the date modified of the assembly to ensure Ia m using the correct assembly. I am still scratching my head for this issue for last 2 days.

    Hi Jayakumar,

Make your plugin class as public and make sure that you have inherited the interface IPlugin in the class.

    Hope this helps.
