Microsoft Teams Integration is missing in Dynamics General Settings

Hi,

I just wanted to integrate Dynamics in Teams and the Doc says I have to enable the Integration in Dynamics first. But unfortunately in my case the option is missing (see image below). I've searched the web, with no suitable answers. Maybe it's too obvious or I'm looking in the wrong places. What am I missing?

Can you please confirm if your environment is Dynamics 365 or CDS environment?

Microsoft Teams integration is not supported on Common Data Service environment.

You can check your environment type in Dynamics 365 Admin Center.

Thanks for your help. I'm relatively new to the Dynamics suite, so I'm not sure where to look. I've clicked through all the admin settings but can't find the environment type in any of the submenus.

Hi Dennis,

As Linn Zaw described you cannot integrate MS Team with CDS environment.

You can check the type from the below link:

port.crm.dynamics.com/.../InstancePicker.aspx

If your Environment is Dynamics 365 then you should be able to integrate Teams .

Hi Dennis,

Actually it is not true that Teams Integration is not supported for CDS!

In this MS doc you referenced, it clearly says Teams-CDS integration is supported (though Disabled by default).

Now why the Teams options do not appear in the System Settings in your particular CDS environment, is another matter, for which I'd open a Support Incident with MS.

Can you please point me towards the part of MS doc where it is mentioned about "Teams-CDS integration"?

I still cannot find the "Microsoft Teams Integration" under the System Settings in my CDS environment.

Hi Linn,

It seems that MS has corrected the docs after reporting the contradicting docs issue here.

Before the fix, it seemed CDS was supported, but now it is made clear that it is not.
