Assign the oldest un assigned case using Workflow

Hi,

How can I pick the oldest unassigned case and assign that case to someone using workflow.

I want to trigger the workflow by creating a button using Ribbon Workbench.

How do I I create the query to get the oldest unassigned case in a workflow and assign the user who triggered the workflow. I want the query result to just return one record and assign that record to someone.

Hi

It's not clear what the conditions are for your specify unassigned cases.
Personally, I understand it to mean that the creator and owner fields have different values, also you need oldest one.

So you need retrieve all cases to find one case that meet these conditions, then assign it to one user who execute process.

If so, workflow can't do it, Maybe you can try to use power automate(https://us.flow.microsoft.com/en-us/ ) to create an Instant flow to achieve it.

How do you secure the PowerAutomate. Making sure it is not being used outside the context of dynamics 365? Since the power Automate is just an API?
