Un-Hide "Switch Process" menu option

Posted on by 25

Hi,

I have successfully hidden the 'Switch Process' button using the Ribbon workbench (XrmToolBox CRM 365 CE v1.2018.1.20) but I cannot seem to un-hide it.  I delete the hide actions message, publish and and open WorkBench but the button has not reappeared.  I am using Dynamics 365 v1612(8.2.2.112) On-prem.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards

RE: Un-Hide "Switch Process" menu option

    Hi ,

The concept is same , although its a older version , I believe you can try once with the latest version as well. What about my second options ? do you have any other environment in which environment the button is showing.

Do following steps for second options  , you need to do it very carefully until and unless you can find the actual XML difference for switch process button.

In your current environment - Create one unmanaged solution with single entity and export the solution , you will get the ribbon diff  XML for the button switch process.

If you have any other  environment - do the same Create one unmanaged solution with single entity and export the solution , you will get the ribbon diff  XML for the button switch process.

Now compare the switch process button and copy the ribbon diff from second XML.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks Goutam,

The solution you provided was for a much older version of Ribbon Workbench so I couldn't use it.  I found the problem in that I hadn't un-hidden the menu option itself only the sub menu option.

    Thanks again for replying.

    Hi,

    Please try with this -

    ribbonworkbench.uservoice.com/.../235292-restore-a-button-that-has-been-removed-from-the-cr

Second option would be modify the customization XML, taking from backup entity if you have.
