GMAIL server and Integration with office

Hello everyone,

I have a client who currently uses Gmail as their email server and is considering implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (SaaS). They're curious to know if there are any limitations or challenges in integrating Business Central with Office tools such as Power Apps, Excel, or the mail functionalities in this setup.

Specifically:

  • Will the use of Gmail affect seamless data exchange between Business Central and Excel/Power Apps?
  • Are there any known issues with configuring Gmail for email-related workflows in Business Central?

If you’ve dealt with a similar setup or have insights into this integration, I’d greatly appreciate your input.

    As far as I know, BC cannot log in via G-Mail. Even if it is an external account, it needs to be a work email address. (outlook.com, hotmail.com, and gmail.com is not supported)
    Sorry I'm not an expert on Azure Domain, maybe you mean alias etc., but I'm not sure if this is possible to log in BC.
     
    Hopefully other experts can give you better advice.
