Most likely bad code, or design. Is your combo box using an edit method, or is it datasource+field bound?

You can use the AX Trace Parser tool to capture what is going on client and server-side.

During the trace analysis you should be looking for high number of calls to a specific method/function or SQL statement, or check SQL statements which are not called frequently but takes a long time to execute.

    Hi Vilmos

i am using datasource + field bound and use lookup for getting data using query build. but the main question is that when i first time click combo it takes time to enable when enabled and again click it to  fetches record for select it fetches fast.

    Thanks ,

I am sorry but your description is very confusing.

A combo box allows a dropdown selection of values of a base enumeration, or values that you are populating yourself as combobox elements. While now you mention a datasource-bound field in your next post, for which you are using a query to populate a lookup, which is typically not for a combobox.

Please share technical details of your solution, because it is unclear on what you have done exactly.

    Hi there,

I agree. Ensure that your tables you are using in your query have the correct indices on them. In addition, try using a field selection only.

Always ensure that the query are fully optimized.

    Thanks,

Resolved, the issue was validations checks in "cansubmitToWorkflow" method.

So it was not a combobox then? Just a custom lookup for itemIds?

Please update the thread heading, and use correct terms with exact elaboration in future so everyone here can help and it doesn't waste anyone's time. Thanks.
