Job Queue additional functionality - add on?

We have a job queue entry that changes qualifying sales order status from pending prepayment to released.
When the sales order's status is changed to released, we'd like to have the "pick instruction" for the order automatically emailed to a designated email address or printed to a designated printer.
Does anyone know if this automation is possible, if so, how? standard BC or with an add-on app? Thanks!

    One way this is possible is if a developer customizes the system to do it.
