How to Enable Lookup Record Dialog in Dynamics 365 CONNECTION TABLE

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for guidance on enabling the lookup record dialog when creating records in Dynamics 365 CONNECTION TABLE as mentioned below:

- In the Sales trial and in the standard Microsoft form without any configuration, the connection lookup allows selection from only one table.

- However, when we add a connection in the form, it forces the system to open the main form instead of staying in the lookup.

Has anyone encountered this issue or found how to do it. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

    Hi @Viet,

The connection table is a unique type of table/entity in CRM. Unlike other tables, the quick create form for this table cannot be manually enabled or disabled. By default, Microsoft configures it to open a quick create or side pane form, allowing users to either select "New Connection" or create a new connection (or contact in the lead form).

The behavior you're experiencing appears to be an unusual variation, and only Microsoft can provide a definitive explanation or resolution. I recommend reaching out to Microsoft support by opening a ticket to address this issue.

Hi - Which other tables would you like to reference in connections? Please check that those tables are "Enabled for connections" that will then allow you to search on those other records as well.

You will be able to modify the main form should you wish to do so as well.

Thank you, Ali Hamza, for pointing that out that we need to raise a ticket. Currently, we are in a support ticket and the CS team works with the PG team to check. However, the PG team is also unsure of how to resolve this so now we in the waiting state.

Thank you, Cindy, but modify the main form not the solution we looking for because it affects the user experience when they open the main form and save
