How to assign Parallel Position in Human Resource Module

Hi,

Can anyone tell me answer of my question. Suppose Employee A has resigned from the company and parallel B has joined the company, How to assigned A position to B parallel ??

If Employee A is resigned then you will have to retire the worker position assignment and then this position becomes free which can be then assigned to employee B. You can retire the position from the Employee form >> Worker position assignment >> End

Hi Sumit,

It is not happening with Retire a position,I did it and found that position removed from system.

But i want to keep that position remain , so that i can assign it to to B, who is already joined as a replacement of A.

Hi Manish,

If the position is assigned to an employee then it cannot be assigned to any other employee. Basically when you retire the position, it shows up in the open position. Go to open positions and click on Maintain versions >> Worker positions assignment. Here you can see all the workers that has the same position assigned to them.

So what is the solution for this situation ?

Same position we need to assign to employee B , who is a replacement of Employee A. But A is serving his/her notice period.

Actually in this case, there are two positions that are working in parallel. So you will have to attach different positions to each A and B and then later on when A retires you will have to manually assign the open position of A to B. I didnt find it working to assign an already assigned position to be allocated to a different worker after the retirement date occurs.

Thanks... But there is an option available in AX, We need to give .5 / .5 position to A & B. Then it will become 1. But i do not know where is that option.

Hi Manish,

You can only assign one position to one worker at a time. You can define jobs for this purpose. Then have two positions sharing the same job.

Thanks for your suggestion..

In that case we need to create a temporary Job, And This is not practically possible in our organization.

There should be another alternative for this. Let me try it more. will update you soon.

To be sure... you can create a new position, but use the same job.
