I have a question about AX2009 and .Net 4.8, or rather any other version of .Net than 3.5.

As I understand from this post .NET framework 4.0 in AX 2009 - Microsoft Dynamics AX Forum Community Forum, it is not possible to load a dll that is not .Net 3.5 into AX2009.

But I am currently installing a new AOS server for a client, and on the old AOS there was a .dll that looks like it is from .Net 4.7, but I can't get it to work on the new AOS witch is running 4.8.

So does anyone have some further information about this that might help me?

Ok so i got this to work by copying the Bin folders from the old AOS server to the new one.

So at some point there must have been a Hotfix installed on the old server that fixed the problem with .Net 4.x dll's not working in AX2009.

Would be really nice to know witch one, but well my problem is solved for now :-)
