Relationship between Sales price and Purchase price of an item

I am upgrading from my Navision version 1.0, where everything was pretty much custom made for us, to Business Central.  We are a distributor of products and therefore there is a relationship between the sales price of a product and it's purchase price.

I have 2 questions:
Question 1:  For one of my main vendors, I am told what MSRP (list price) is and what my discount % is for the products I purchase.  Where in Business Central can I record this relationship between purchase and list price?

Question 2:  Once I know the profit % calculated in Question 1, I can now decide what discount % I would like to offer my various customer price groups.  When the manufacturer changes MSRP (on literally hundreds of items) how can I adjust my selling prices and purchase price by using the same profit percentages?

 PriceDiscountNew List price
List$100 $120*
Customers A$9010%$120 - 10%?
Customers B$8020%$120 - 20%?
Purchase Price$5050%$120 - 50%?

I have the same question (0)

Relationship between Sales price and Purchase price of an item
    Hii There,

as per your question you can set purchase & sales prices on ITEM Card->(Prices & Discounts)-> Sales Prices .. Purchase Prices .. Sales Discounts .. Purchase discounts..

There you can set Prices as per minimum qty. It will calculate price as per qty. and fill line discount as item no validate.

If you found your answer, Mark it answered.

    Thank You.

Relationship between Sales price and Purchase price of an item
Thanks for posting a response Kamal.  BC Sales Price and Purchase price in 2 different tables, is exactly my problem.  In order to set the sales price on an item, a business needs to know the purchase price.  Of course I can easily add the Unit Cost field to the Sales Prices Form, but in order to do a price change must I really have to go to both tables?

    Hi Christine,

To give a short answer to your question, yes. You have to go to both tables if you use the Sales Price and Purchase Price tables.
    - They are exportable to Excel these days, so you could create a template to do this kind of quick. But it would be a smaller workaround still of course.

You would be able to do what you ask outside of the sales price and purchase price table, but then it won't affect your customised prices, it will be standard prices.

On the Item card, under Prices & Sales, you can select Price/Profit Calculation select "Price = Cost + Profit", and then assign a Profit %. This will use the Item Unit Price * Profit and assign a sales price for you. As mentioned, this will only work on the standardised prices, if you need custom prices pr. Group etc., this is not possible unfortunately.
