ReportReport

Hi,

I am recreating a Balance Sheet that was used in FRx with Management Reporter and everything works fine except for the calculation of Comprehensive Income (Loss) in the row format.

In FRx, it reads:

(40000 TO 90000), /Y

so I have created a row in MR that reads:

 Account Modifier=[/Y]   +Segment2 = [40000:90000]

But the amounts don't match for the month selected.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Lori

    Hello Lori,

    1. Verify the balance is the same in FRx. If new balances were entered for a period, MR will be reading new data that a static FRx report may not reflect. Re-generate the FRx report to confirm the most recent data is used.

    2. Please verify that the balance for the account range 40000:90000 returns the same balance in MR that is displayed in Dynamics GP when the /Y modifier is not being used in MR.

    3. If the range of accounts does not return the same balance, determine which account/accounts are incorrect in the report. Try putting those accounts on their own row in a test report to see if the behavior is different.

    4. The MR report definition may be set to exclude inactive accounts. Open the report definition, click the Settings tab, click the button labeled "Other...", click the Additional Options tab. Verify the setting for the "Exclude inactive accounts" option. Try unchecking it and generating the report again.

    5. You may also want to verify the MR 2012 version being used, and if on a really old version an upgrade would be recommended. MR 2012 CU12 is the most recent version. You can check the version number under Help | About Management Reporter. You can use the number to compare to the list of versions here:

Please let me know if you continue to have a problem.

    Thanks!

If the column is setup for YTD you may not need the row modifier /Y.
