Hello,
For some reason I cannot set up a register to print directly to either a network printer running off of a print server or from a printer shared from another Windows 7 computer. You print to either of these types of printers if the register is set up so that it prompts you for which printer to send the print job. They can print to a locally attached (USB) printer just fine.
This worked just fine running on Windows XP. Could someone tell me how I can get this to function again? I have a store where during the busy season they need to be able to print to a networked/shared printer.
Thanks,
Terry

I have the same question (0)Good morning Terry,
Are you getting any errors when you try this?
Is the remote printer added in the Devices and Printers on the register that is running Windows 7?
In testing on Windows 7 I see something similar to the following if I do not have the printer name correct in the register properties:
Printer 'PrinterName' is not defined. Subsequent receipts will be printed to
the default printer '\\print-Server-01\printername' instead.
If I click OK the receipt prints to the networked printer.
Hopefully this helps.
