Hi guys,
If we put a report to Batch processing, lets say I put recurrence so it will periodically run, can I also specify the location to saved the report ?
I tried to change to Destination to File, but it only give me setting of File name and File type. Can we specify the location also ?
Thanks
Please remember that the system has no access to your workstation or fileshares in your company network.
If you print to file and you are not running in batch, the system will offer the file to your browser and then you download it manually to the folder of your choice. But in batch there's nobody to download the file. So it's not possible to save the report in local filesystem.
You can save the report to print archive and download it later.
Hi Nikolaos,
Yes, understand that, I was thinking maybe save to share drive like OneDrive or something.
Thanks,
Hi WWwong
If you want to send files to OneDrive or similar service you can take a look at how to add a new report destination.
community.dynamics.com/.../609589
Then you can develop own implementation for upload or find existing C# library or snippet on the Internet like

Hi Sergei,
Thanks for the references. To be honest it looks really heavy (and risky) customization to me
Upon thinking this, as I saw there is already Email option, got an idea that I will try to use this email feature instead, and use Flow to take care of save attachment to OneDrive. Sound simpler this way right ?
Hi WWwong,
Flow can an option too, just properly estimate licenses costs.
Also, you can take a look at SharePoint integration
docs.microsoft.com/.../configure-document-management
stoneridgesoftware.com/.../
Yeah, you're right, it will add more cost.
Btw, how to use Print archive options actually ? Can we use it ?
Hope this helps to understand print archive option community.dynamics.com/.../how-to-use-the-print-archive-option-to-organize-reports
Actually I'm looking at it, but the picture over there is broken, and the link I cannot find the appropriate page.
But in my DevBox, the report which I ran, in the parameter, Print destination setting -> Print Archive, the "Save in Print Archive" option also disable so I cannot activate it.
Which print destination have you selected?
At first, it is to File, over here I can activate the Save to print archive check box. But obviously, I don't know it will go where.
If I move to Tab Print archive it self (the top one), Save to print archive is disable.
