Warehouse Management to Pick Any Tag without changing location

Background: Product has batch is below location reservation hierarchy.

AX 2012 R3 WHS does have the ability for user to do location override to change location (different from what's suggested from AX) and then scan different batch. However, the requirement is to scan any batch (batches are all over different locations) of the same item without doing location override first. Is there a way for OOB AX 2012 R3 to do it?

    I don't know a way to get AX to do what I think you are asking.... you always have to provide a location first (either because the location is on the Work line, or because you have scanned one), and then AX will ask you to scan the Batch Id (but only if the location contains multiple Batches of the item).

    ok, if there is no way to do it OOB, I just have to propose an enhancement to do it. Just wanted to double-check in this forum before I propose.
