What information is in a database backup?

Posted on by 20

I am getting ready to  Migrate RMS from out dated machines to some new ones but I am curious about what information is contained in a database backup.  Once I get the new machines set up and I import the current database, will I have all of my purchase order info, employees, past sales info, transfers info, discounts, custom reports, etc... in other words how much will be imported in, what will have to be done manually, and what, if anything, will be lost data?

Thank you in advance!

Jason

The backup will hold almost all of the store data, but you will still have to bring over all custom report/receipts, and you will also set up the EDC information again. Anything in the database will be backed up and migrated, and anything stored in the registry will need to be entered in manually.
