Outlook Synchronisation works from home but not at work

odd thing, when at work the CRM/Outlook synchronisation does not work and messages of can not communicate with CRM server  when at home using an ADSL connection it all seems to work fine.

I think the proxy server settings in the browser have something to do with it.

Running Windows 7 Professional 64bit, ie8 have installed rollup 12

Any ideas?

Have removed .Net as per other forum posts but no fix to date

    You can ony have one synchronizing client - you can make a computer the synchronizing client by going to the CRM pulldown in Outlook, choose OPTIONS, and check the "synchronization" tab

    Unfortunately I can not check whilst at work as the CRM menu does not appear whilst connected there, I will try your solution tonight at home. Thanks for your assistance.

    Thanks for the tip, unfortunately the computer I use at work is the same computer I use at home, a laptop, whilst at work plugged into the corporate lan (iexplorer using a proxy server) and at home ADSL2 (iexplorer with disabled proxy server).

    The check box you refer to is 'ticked' but ghosted so I cant change it.

    Can you hit CRM in the web browser while at home?

    I used to have problems with my laptop when I took it home.  Every time I disconnected it from the work network it would lose the CRM configuration and would not reconnect on its own when I connected to the VPN.  I had to manually reconfigure every time.  Since rollup 7 or 8  though I havent been having those problems.
