Hi all,
My customer uses AA to keep track of Department and Region. Every time there's a new combination of an account and the AA codes, it doesn't automatically appear in their FRx reports e.g. Trial Balance. I have to run the AA Wizard to refresh the COA before it appears in the FRx Row Format. This happens quite often. Is there any work around for this? As I have to request access to their server room to run the Wizard every time this happens, their IT dept says this is not feasible in the long run.
Is there some other way of accomplishing/refreshing the rows to reflect the latest data?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Saras

I have the same question (0)Hi,
I found some thing for you in VKB,
There are two different rebuild processes within FRx AA and I have provided the details of these below:
1. Build Local GL Index: This process rebuilds in the .G32 files that are located in the FRx SysData folder. The main information this file holds is related to budgets and the company's fiscal period. This file is rebuilt automatically when you log into your FRx company or if you use the Build Local GL Index option under the Admin menu.
2. Rebuild Chart of Accounts: This process runs two main stored procedures on the GP database to update the frl_acct_code_aa table. The first stored procedure is the csp_populateaccountcodetable and this brings in all your non-AA related accounts into the frl_acct_code_aa table. The second stored procedure, csp_updateaccountcodetable, mainly updates the frl_acct_code_aa table 'acct_code' to include your dimensions. This process can be run through the DimensionWizard as you noted, or it can be run within FRx itself. To have this process run every time you log into your AA company, make sure the "Rebuild Chart of Accounts" option is checked under Company | Information | System Specific Information tab, for your AA company.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
