In D365BC, on Item Card there is "Attribute" on the ribbon. Can anyone explain the purpose/use of it.

Item attributes are features about that product. For example the color. If I am selling a red bicycle then I would want to offer red accessories so I would filter the item list to include only items with that color attribute of red. It is helpful for upselling and accessorizing. It can also be used to help structure searches for eCommerce sites. Attributes are more general than Item Category Codes or Product Group Codes.
