Cycle counting

Posted on by 18
I’m a newbie to D365FO and still learning. I have a client that wants to count every item in their warehouse. They only have one warehouse and one site. Not familiar with cycle counting planning or the counting journal.  They plan to count every item in each location. Should they create a counting journal by on-hand or item? Looking for best option to perform in case there are items in other locations so they aren’t missed.

Thanks for the references.  I’ve reviewed them but still unclear. It seems like the counting journal would be better suited for them since they want to count everything manually.  Wish things were more clear cut.  Will go to Learn and do some training since I’m still unclear on which is better suited for their needs.
