How to view a report of Items to see Sales and COGS (Cost of Goods Sold)

I have a customer who is looking at the Items page in Business Central. He sees that he can filter by Sales and COGS, however, he is unable to see the column for it. I was going to personalize the page for him, but it looks like those fields are not available to add on the page, unless we create a custom column. Is there a better report for him to view the Sales and COGS for items?

I have the same question (0)

You will have to make custom fields for this.  The only thing you can show in the item list is qty sold.

If you want the amount sold and the cost of sold goods you have to look at the Item ledger entries and the value entries.

One option can be to make a report in  Power BI or create a query. If you are in BC online then i think i would go the Power BI path.

     Hi,

You can build custom report from Value Entry table where you can get detail Document & Item wise.

Also you can check Customer/ Item Statistics report it's base report possible a information you looking for you can find in it.
