Phone Number Validation

Hi,

I have javascript that checks the length of the phone number and removes non numeric characters, like"( ) -" . What im  trying to do now , if the user enters in a UK number 079xxxxx  the system should format to +4479xxxxx, the same goes for all other country phone numbers.

I came across in System Settings,

  • Set the Default Country/region code to (+1)

My Questions are;

  1. Is it possible in System setting to set multiple prefixs?
  2. How do you handle phone numbers?
  3. Do you use a solution/plugin/business rule/js?

    Hi,

    You can't use multiple (it will allow you to write as it is text field) but it won't work as you want to implement it, the mostly used option is java script, so you can write small js function to change number format based on the country selected.

    Something like this: abhishekserjam.wordpress.com/.../microsoft-dynamics-crm-for-phone-and-country-random-post
