CRM Online Integration with Office 365 for Email

How can I integrate CRM Online with Office 365 to send emails from Dynamics?  I set it up using Outlook for CRM and it works, but only when Outlook is running.  I can create a new mailbox dedicated for the CRM, but cannot find how to tell it to use that mailbox.

The most common scenario if you don't want to rely on Outlook is to use the CRM E-mail Router. Being both that CRM and Office 365 are both in the cloud you would need a server someplace it be able to install this on.

Set up email between Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online and Office 365

Thank you, I have started down that path.

I am trying to configure the email router now.  I have found several things online that describe how to do this, but I am having a different issue.

During the deployment when I attempt to load data so I can configure a forwarding mailbox I get a message stating the CRM is unavailable or the URL I entered was incorrect.  I used this to do that -

dev.crm.dynamics.com/<OrganizationName> , replace <OrganizationName> with the CRM Online ”Organization Unique Name” .

I logged into CRM Online to find my org unique name and entered that.  It says the URL is incorrect.  If enter the URL into a browser, it also fails.  I tried using the same URL I use to access CRM (orgname.crm.dynamics.com) and that also fails.

    Any idea?

    Hi,

If you are still running in to this issue then follow below steps and let me know if it helps you.

    1. Make sure the user account that is running the E-mail Router service is a member of the Active Directory directory service PrivUserGroup security group.

    2. Make sure the account that is specified in the Access Credentials field on the General tab of the E-mail Router Configuration Profile dialog box is a Microsoft Dynamics CRM administrative user. If the access credentials are set to Local System Account, the computer account must be a member of the Active Directory PrivUserGroup security group.

    3. Make sure that the URL of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM deployment is spelled correctly. The OrganizationUniqueName part of the URL must be spelled exactly as it appears in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server. To determine the OrganizationUniqueName, start the Microsoft Dynamics CRM web application as a user who has the System Customizer role. Click Settings, and then click Customizations. On the Customization page, click Developer Resources. The OrganizationUniqueName is displayed below the Organization Unique Name label. For more information, see Configure the E-mail Router.

    Regards,

    Satish T
