Unable to enable change tracking to custom entity in Production

Hi,

When we try to enable change tracking in a custom entity, we are getting the below message:

Change tracking cannot be enabled or disabled on the specified data entity as the underlying tables are currently in use. It is recommended to perform this operation when there is no activity on the data entity and the underlying tables.
This behavior occurs only in Production, it is working fine in UAT and Multi-tier Test Boxes. There aren't any data projects using the entity. We tried deleting it and refreshing the entity list as well, dint work.
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
Shruthi

    Hi Shruti,

Was this entirely new data entity created and pushed to Prod for the first time or it was already used and some latest changes are pushed to prod?

    Hi Vinit,

The entity was created long back, it is being used in Pre-Prod and UAT. However it was only recently pushed to Prod. Also, we updated our UAT with Prod DB yesterday, We were not able to reproduce the issue. Looks like it is behaving so only in Production.

    Hi Shruti,

Try deleting the entity from the entity list and refresh the entity list from Framework parameters -> Entity settings -> Refresh entity list.

Please check the table AIFSQLCTTRIGGERS in DB if there is any record already for the data entity. If this is not reproducible in UAT then I suggest creating a ticket with Microsoft support because we can't do much on Production as we don't have access to it.

    Hi Vinit,

Yes we tried that already  (deleting and refreshing the entity list), it did not help.

I will check the AIFSQLCTTRIGGERS in UAT as the PROD was restored to it.

But yeah, its not reproducible in UAT, and we have created a ticket with MS.

    Thanks for all your help.

browsing the table would show if the data entity has created any triggers

    Hi Rahul,

We checked the table AIFSQLCTTRIGGERS, there weren't any records related to the entity there. However funnily, the issue got resolved this morning. We are unsure of the root cause and the MS support executive did not get back to us yet with his findings.

    Hi Shruti,

Were you able to find if this entity was used in any processing group? Any batch jobs finished the execution?  Please let us know about your findings.
