Date and Times Showing Up Different By Administrators

Hello,

I have my time zones set to GMT Coordinated time as does another Administrator within our company.  Based on where we live we are both in Eastern Standard Time Zone but were instructed to use the GMT Coordinated Universal Time in the system.  We have set our User Options/Preference/Time Zone and our Compliance/Legal Entities/ time zone to the GMT Coordinated Universal Time in the system.  Based on our settings being the same, not to mention we are physically in the same time zone, employee dates/times are showing up different.  For instance, we have an employee who has a start date of 10/11/2016 but on the time it shows as 7:00am for her and  6:00pm when I look at him in personnel mgmt.  She changed the time in the system to see what if we would sync up but it still did not.  It just moved the time around on my side more. Why would it have different times?

We also have a problem where this causes employees to have a different date - sometimes they'll show 10/10/2016 when it should be 10/11/2016 and it is all because of the time zone.  However, repeating myself, we have the same setting so in theory they should show the same.

Any help you can provide is appreciated!

RE: Date and Times Showing Up Different By Administrators

    Hello,

Make sure you have put the same time zone and date format for both administrators in the personal settings.

The difference in time is directly related to the time zone set in the personal settings of each user but they are saved as UTC in the database.

In addition, how the dates are being saved in the system? manually by the users, or by code?
