Is Customer Voice affected by MS Forms Org settings?

Does disabling the MS Forms Org setting “External sharing - Send a link to the form and collect responses” also block external access to Customer Voice surveys, or is that controlled solely by Customer Voice Org settings?

    Hello,

    Disabling the Microsoft Forms organization setting for External sharing – Send a link to the form and collect responses does not affect Customer Voice survey access.

    Here’s why,

     
    Microsoft Forms and Dynamics 365 Customer Voice both run on the Forms service infrastructure, but their sharing and access controls are managed separately.
     
    Customer Voice has its own organization-wide and project-level sharing settings in the Customer Voice admin center (via Power Platform admin controls and survey distribution settings).
     
    External respondent access for Customer Voice surveys is controlled solely by the Customer Voice org settings (and the survey’s individual settings), not by the global Forms toggle.
     

    So, Turning off external sharing in Forms will block external responses to classic Forms and quizzes, but Customer Voice surveys will still be accessible externally unless you explicitly restrict them in Customer Voice settings.

    If you want Customer Voice surveys to be internal-only, you must configure it in Customer Voice (or in Dataverse permissions, if you're controlling access that way).

    Disabling the MS Forms Org Bible Chat setting for external sharing does not affect Customer Voice surveys. External access to Customer Voice is controlled solely by Customer Voice Org settings, which are managed separately in the Dynamics 365 admin center.
