Time and Material - Item requirement billing

We have time and material projects where we need to charge our cost plus 10% on all transactions using the Project module. This works great for time and expenses, however we have found that the item requirements don't work the same way. Is there a way to add a flat 10% for all item requirements that are posted against a project?

    Hello DAX_ajsqd2,

    To my knowledge this is not possible because item related costs and prices are not setup in the project module directly as it is the case for example for hour, expense and fee transactions.

    What you can do is - for example - make use of a sales price model in your released product details form where you add a specific percentage on top of your cost price and take this as the sales price. Might this fix your issue?

    Hi Ludwig,

    We looked at that as well but we use the sales price on the item to cover other customer sales. If we overwrite that, we would have to set up a lot of trade agreements which would create a lot more work. There also isn't an option to set up a cost price + % in trade agreements which would also help us accomplish this.

    In the project adjustment there is an option called 'Sales price' which allows you to use 'Markup percentage' and select 5%. This accomplishes what we want, however it is a manual process where we would like this to automatically calculate on the project.

    I think currently there is only the manual way or the way of making a modification.

    In the long-term we can get this automatically by MS if we let MS know that we need this feature. Can you do that by logging a new idea on this site: experience.dynamics.com/ideas
