FRx Webport User Passwords

I am setting up FRx Webport and I have created user passwords for all the users. However i am not seeing an option to allow users to change their password on their next login. Is there an option like this for Frx Webport?

    Tricia,

    Login to WebPort Administrator from their machine as admin, select their user and ask them to key-in their desired password.  At this stage, we have limited options.

    Hi Dencio,

    Thanks for your reply to this.

    In the FRx WebPort Administrator there is the option to sync the FRx password with the FRx users password, however my issue is that some of the users are not FRx reporting services users and they are not Dynamics GP users either. Some are only users of the Web Port so this option wouldn't work for them. These users are Executives of the organisation so they would have liked to set their own passwords and not be assigned a password.

    Do I have any other workarounds to get this done?

    Hi Tricia,

    Alternatively while in FRx Portal Administrator, you can always click the FRx sync button to synch the WebPort users/password with your FRx users/password.

    Hi Jen,

     Thanks for your reply to this. I have looked through security though and I am not seeing the 'Prompt for password change' button. I looked in all the security I could think of i.e. Admin > Organisation > FRx Security; Admin > Users; Admin > Security > Secure Companies. But I am not seeing that option in any of the windows.

    I am currently using FRx 6.7.9111.

    Is there somewhere else to find that option?

    Hello Tricia,

     

    There is not an option from within Webport to have the user change their password the next time they login.  However, you can accomplish this by checking the ’Prompt for password change’ in the FRx security section.  You will then have to re-synch Webport/FRx and this will essentially give you the same functionality.
