AR Invoice is open but doesn't appear in Aged AR report or payment screen

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

In SL 2015, we have an AR invoice that shows up in the Customer Activity screen as open but is not appearing in the Aged AR report. Also, the invoice doesn't appear in the payment application screen, so we're unable to pay it.

There doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary with the invoice (not that's noticeable, anyway).

Any ideas how to fix this?

Elaine's question on whether there is a period closed value on the document is the first step.  Any document with a period closed value less than the period of the period sensitive aging will not show on that report even if it has a balance..  Any document with a pending application of a payment or credit memo will not show on the payment application screen.

If you have access to the SQL query tool, run the following 3 commands:

select * from ardoc where custid = 'xxxxxx' and refnbr = 'yyyyyyyyyy'

look at the curydocbal and perclosed values on the document.

select * from aradjust where custid = 'xxxxxx' and adjdrefnbr = 'yyyyyyyyyy'

if it finds a record, look at the adjgrefnbr and perappl values as well as the adjperpost value.

select * from artran where custid = 'xxxxxx' and siteid = 'yyyyyyyyyy'

if found then look at batnbr.  this will be the batch number of an un-released payment application batch that applied something to this reference number.

Does the document show a balance in Customer Activity or how do you know it is open?

In Document Maintenance, is there a perclosed value?
