Not updated Receivables Statements

ReportReport

Hi! I tried to print Receivables Statements from Great Plains 2010. Following details used: Date to print: July 02, 2014 Cut-off date: January 31, 2014. Print for: Show Applied Payments, Exclude Fully applied payments But on the printed receivables statement report, previous sales/invoices, receipts, other transactions dated 2012 still can be seen on the report regardless of cut-off date I have assigned. Is there any procedures need to be considered first before printing the said receivables statement per customer? Thanks in advance! -Rotchine

    RE: Not updated Receivables Statements

RM Statement report used to get the Customer Transactions from start to some certain cut off date. From this report you can see the customer balance based on the each transactions.

Receivable Trail Balance is used to get the Customer Transactions with certain date range with both summary and details. Here you can not see the balance for the customer based on the each transactions.

Yes, you need to consider  Print/Age as of date field from the Receivables Trail Balance report option window. For my above suggestion set the value for this field to end date 06/30/2014(This field is always end date for the report range)

    Hope this helps!!!

    Hi Soma,

But what's the difference of using the, Tools > Routine > Sales > Receivables Statements window from Receivables Trail Balance Report Options window?

Also, the Print/Age as of field from Receivables Trail Balance Report Options window, do we also need to consider?

    Thanks,

    Rotchine

    RE: Not updated Receivables Statements

"No records to be printed." means no Customer Transactions available for your selected criteria in RM statement report window(unapplied transactions are not available in your company as of Dec. 31, 2010).

If you want to print customer transactions for specific month, follow my above suggestions(Receivable Trail Balance).

    Hope this helps!!!

    Hi Soma,

I tried to select Dec. 31, 2010 for DATE TO PRINT, CUT-OFF DATE but this gave me "No records to be printed."

Does it do with the PRINT FOR SELECTIONS?

    Thanks,

    Rotchine

    RE: Not updated Receivables Statements

You need to set both Date to print & Cut Off Date to Dec 31, 2010 and then print the report. It won't shows the invoice transactions for the customer Doc. Date: 3/22/2012 until the latest.

Additionally, if you want to print customer transactions for specific month, follow below steps.

    1. Go to Reports-->Sales-->Trail Balance.

    2. Choose the Historical Aged Trail Balance from the Reports drop down list then click New/Modify.

    3. In Receivables Trail Balance Report Options window set the restrictions as shown below. For example, I have set the restriction for the Customer Transactions "SOMA" and Date for June 2014.

Note: Mark the In Detail Check box, this will shows all customer details transactions list.

    4. Then set destination and Click Print button to print the report.

    Hope this helps!!!

    Hi Soma,

I tried to check from the Receivable Translation Inquiry by Document window using a specific customer, sample 1st invoice details: Doc. Date: 3/22/2012  Origin: OPEN  Document Amount: $14,200.00 Amount Remaining: $0.00  and so on until 2014 transactions. I'm aware that these Open status transactions were already posted.

Also, I tried your suggested Date to print: Dec 31, 2010, Print for: EXCLUDE FULL APPLIED PAYMENTS, yet RM statement report still gave me from the 1st invoice transaction of this specific customer Doc. Date: 3/22/2012 until the latest.

How can I show in my RM statement report those transactions for let's say for a specific month, like for the month of June 2014?

    Thanks in advance,

    Rotchine

    RE: Not updated Receivables Statements

So, If you run the RM Statement Report, it will showing the invoices with partially applied. You can't hide these documents from this report if the Date to print: July 02, 2014(means it will prints the report from the starting date of your first invoice to July 02, 2014).

If you set the  Date to print: Dec 31, 2010, then these (2011 & 2012) documents won't shows on the report. I hope now you understand.

    Hope this helps!!!

    RE: Not updated Receivables Statements

    Rotchine,

Invoices won't be available in Sales Transactions Entry if you already posted.

Go to Receivable Translation Inquiry by Document window(Inquiry-->Sales-->Transaction by Document)  and check whether the invoices are available.

    Hope this helps!!!

  • RE: Not updated Receivables Statements

    Hi Soma,

Those invoices already can't be seen on Sales Transaction Entry...

    Thanks,

    Rotchine.
