Entering Vacation time in GP2016R2

Is there a way to enter vacations in GP where they will not be deducted until the actual vacation date? If I enter a vacation for an October request GP will deduct it immediately creating confusion when the vacation report rolls out. If we do not enter the vacations as they are received, we are setting on a stack of them for weeks or months at a time with the possibility of the requests being misplaced.

    Hi Larry,

Unfortunately there is not a way with Payroll or HR.  As soon as you key it in, the payroll work batch it is deducted from their balance.   Even if we did a later date batch it still reduces the time.

You would need to look for a customization/3rd party to fit your needs at this time.   This is a great suggestion however.   To add new suggestions you can go to the following link.

We do have one out there currently you could vote on to add the ability to submit a vacation request to the manager or payroll admin similar to the functionality we had in Business Portal.  Please vote if you would like to see this.  Any other ideas please enter new suggestions with the link above.
