CRM 2011 Workflows: Record Fields Change Trigger

Hello all,

I am working on a workflow in a CRM 2011 on-premise installation. For this particular workflow I have a text field and a date field. When a user updates the text field I want it to update the date field (They update the "next steps" field and workflow puts in today's date for "next steps updated"). I believe I have to workflow done correctly, but I seem to be running into an issue when users copy and paste text into the text field. If text is pasted into that field it is not triggering the "record fields change" workflow. Is it possible to capture that the field has in fact changed when a user pastes new text into the field? Right now the work around is for them to hit space after pasting text, but this is not ideal.

Field change is triggered as soon as you will lost focus from the text field, so even you are copying and pasting, it should trigger on change as soon as you will move to another field. Yes sharing screenshots could be helpful.

Can u share your workflow screenshot.

I have created a similar workflow as yours and it works fine when pasting data. Since its a background workflow, u might have to refresh the form to see date field updated
