Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum. I am in the process of trying to vet a company who we're intending to use for a loyalty program for our business.
The POS systems are being run with RMS Version 2.0.
I am having trouble figuring out how it's possible to pull data from this system and have it organized so that it can integrate it into other marketing programs.
I'm think I'm looking for how RMS stores the data, and how the data within it can be exported and into what kind of formats...So that the "exported" information (data) can be organized and used for marketing purposes.
Could anyone here guide me to get on the right path?

Thanks for reference, Antonjo! Indeed, our Hero Points is one of the most comprehensive integrated loyalty programs for RMS. Unlike some other loyalty programs, it is completely on-premise, not requiring any subscription fees. It comes with number of custom reports that could be used for exporting into other marketing systems or CRMs. I would also suggest taking a look at the complementary to Hero Points solution called "RetailThanks" (former eReceipt) www.retailhero.com/RetailThanks . It has some built-in marketing capabilities and in future we're planning to evolve it into a complete eMarketing solution for RMS and for the soon coming Retail Management Hero POS system.
Answers to your direct questions are:
- RMS stores its data in an MSSQL database.
- Data can be pulled out with any program that can run an SQL query.
- Install the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (free from Microsoft) and you can look around in the database and extract whatever you want.
- Don't make changes unless you have a backup and know what you are doing, but you can't hurt anything by reading / exporting the data.
Hi there.
Try Retail Here (http://www.retailhero.com/), they have integrated customer loyalty products / add-ons for RMS, probably one of the best in the channel.
If You want to export RMS data (Customers, Items or else), You can use several tools, within or outside RMS. For example, you can modify and adapt Active Reports for getting the data and in format you want, then export them (by standard functionality) into .csv, .xml or html format... Other option is to talk to your RMS partner, for programmed excel file or SQL Server exporting data into format you want/need.
For more expensive and complete option, Microsoft Dynamics CRM could be something interesting, but there is no out-of-box integration with RMS from Microsoft. So You'll need to integrate it somehow (there is a tool called Microsoft Dynamics Connector, but not directly for RMS, so need work have to be done).
If You need more help, do not hesitate to contact me.
Best regards, A.

Mabuhay! Hi! We do run Kaibigan Cards some sort of Loyalty Program. We encoded their details and gather that so we can use textblast and emails when we launch some sales. We track their sales history and visiting sched so we can figure which stocks we will server and what time they usually arrived.
