I'm integrating Business Central (cloud sandbox) with a Shopify store using Microsoft's official Shopify Connector (installed via AppSource).
When I click “Request Access” from the Shopify Shop Card, Shopify correctly prompts for approval. I approve the app using the store owner account, and the app shows as installed in Shopify. However, after approval, Business Central fails to receive or store the access token.
The error shown in BC is:
No Access token for the store. Please request an access token for this store.
Business Central Cloud Sandbox
Shopify Connector from AppSource, version 27.2
Shopify store is active and accessible
Shopify app installed successfully, shows correct scopes and install logs
Confirmed Shopify URL format: https://{shop}.myshopify.com (no trailing slash)
Enabled “Allow HttpClient Requests” in Extension Management
Reinstalled the connector cleanly
Deleted and recreated the Shopify Shop Card
Approved the app in Shopify (confirmed it's listed in Apps)
Used store owner for app approval
Cleared cookies, used clean browser session (Chrome and Edge tested)
Pop-ups and third-party cookies enabled
Left the BC “waiting for response” page open the entire time
Verified “Has Access Key” remains false after approval
Extension shows as Installed = true
This appears to be a token handling failure on the BC side — Shopify has done its part and issued the token, but BC never saves it.
Has anyone encountered this OAuth/token callback failure before? Is there a deeper known issue with the Shopify Connector in sandbox environments or known fixes?
If this requires backend intervention or token debug, I’m happy to provide more details. Unfortunately, I can’t raise a Microsoft support ticket directly, so hoping someone from the product team or a partner can advise.
Thank you.
