Hi Experts,

I need to implement Asymmetric Encryption/Decryption in Business Central for an Integration Project. I found enough support for Symmetric Encryption and its working.

But I am unable to find Asymmetric Encryption functions inside BC. I appreciate if somebody can share knowledge related to this.

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Bilal Haider ,

I am not sure this is entirely possible. I am keen to see the end result of this thread when it's concluded.

I believe this would be better raised with the Microsoft Support team / BC Dev team.

I hope this has answered you questions

    Thanks JC

I suggest to use Azure Functions for this.

    System.Security.Cryptography.RSACryptoServiceProvider
can help on implementing asymmetric encryption and you can easily call the function from AL.

Stefano Demiliani thanks for suggestion. The problem is that I need to send/receive requests that are encrypted/decrypted in Realtime and calling azure functions on each call might cause performance issues.

I will go with that if I am not able to find something inside Business Central.

There’s nothing for this out of the box at the moment.

Stefano Demiliani if you are saying then I believe there is not. I will mark it as solved.

    Thank you very much.

I need to update my answer. The wrapper around RSACryptoServiceProvider was yet approved, so you can do that in AL now:
