Debugging errors on CRM Dynamics online

Posted on by 130

Hi - I wonder is there a way to debug errors on CRM Dynamics online. For example the error in the screenshot below doesn't say much. Even if I click download log file still that's not useful. Is there any tool or something I can use to pinpoint the errors/warnings. Thanks

Since the error is kind of BP error, it's more like raised from a sync plugin or workflow.

    1. If it's a custom plug, you can enable plugin trace by going to system settings -> customization and enable plugin trace for all or exception.

Then you will get more iinformation from the plugin trace log by settings-> plugin trace log.

    2. Or you switch to classic web client by applying the parameter https://....dynamics.com/main.aspx?forceclassic=1, during this period web client and UCI will exist side by side for a period.

    3. Or you can raise an support to Microsoft to get the exception details by providing the activity ID.

You can convert your workflows to background. Then you can monitor your workflow.

Thanks Paul. I have fixed it. But I'm looking for a debugging tool that can help to investigate/troubleshoot these sort of issues efficiently. I wonder if you're able to recommend one. Thanks

What is it you are doing when the error appears? It seems to mention that there is no Owner for whatever it is you're trying to do. Can you post details of the log file and do you have a real time workflow triggering on whatever you did to produce the error?
