Power BI and Business Central

Posted on by 6
Hello, I need help building my AR report in Power BI, it pulls the information from our Business Central. Essentially I am trying to build a data set or report that would allow me to see the Invoice Number, Posting Date, Invoice Amount, Remaining Amount, and Cost of Goods, when I add in my LineItemLedger and establish the relationship to the invoice everything works except for the COGs, instead of showing COGs per invoice, it shows me the total COGs. Hi, It seems to be because the COGs field is missing. What can be accessed from power bi is BC's APIs or Web Service.

If you are using the standard APIs, as of now, adding fields requires customization.
More details: Dynamics 365 Business Central: Can we extend standard APIs? – Download Standard Source Code for APIs

If it is a Web Service, you need to add fields to the page first, which may also require some minor customization.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.
