Your first port of call should be the Resource Descriptions on the Tools Menu.

After that you could post here if you need to know specific tables where form data is stored.

If you have 'Modifier' you could open the window in modifier for a clue as t the main tables involved. (Open the window and click Tools >> Modify Current Window.

If your organisation happens to be using SmartList Builder (by eOne), it comes with a Table Finder utility which is hugely useful for this purpose. If you have it, it is under the tools menu. Simply open the form you're interested in and select Tools | Table Finder to see the various tables associated to the form. I offer a small word of caution: I have seen a few situations where some related tables that should show up in the tool, simply don't. It is rather rare in my experience and I think more so when dealing with 3rd party integration tables (which I assume may not always be doing things in the GP "standard" way), but it is something to keep in mind.

A simple way is to open the form and then click Tools->Integrate->Table Import. This will give you a list of tables associated with this form. You can then use Tools->Resource Descriptions->Tables to get the table names.

Rockton Software makes a product called Inspector that I believe may give you exactly what you want. You start the inspector product, open the window in question and then click on the field you are trying to find. The software will suggest the probable table the field exists in. It's part of Rockton's Dynamics GP Toolbox: www.rocktonsoftware.com/.../dynamics-gp-toolbox

    Kind regards,

I want to build a table import for time card entry in WennSoft.  I see the table WS Time Sheet TRX WORK, is that the correct table?

Also, Do I have to build all fields in the excel import template or do I just build the fields I need only?  Thank you so much

All the previous suggestions would be helpful. I would image there would be at least three tables involved here. The trx work table along with a batch definition table plus a distribution table. I would enter a transaction manually and then see w hich tables get hit. You could use SQL Profiler or search for text strings in tables.
