Upgraded from GP 2010 to GP 2015 and whilst the Notes show that there is an OLE attachment.
Clicking the 'paperclip' opens the OLE container but no OLE attachment is visible.

Microsoft updated the tool in May so it will now work with versions prior to GP2013 R2. Just make sure that you download the current version.
The migration utility documentation does not spell a change to the OLE Notes path that is required.. In prior versions, OLE Notes would work from a shared network location. Now, in order to run the utility succesfully, you must copy your OLE Notes folder tree to the GP program files Data folder and adjust the OLEPath= line in dex.ini accordingly.
Is the path a UNC path? If you change it to a mapped drive, does it make a difference? Since this is a setting in the Dex.ini file, is the drive mapped appropriately for the user profile on those workstations? Are you using Citrix or Terminal Server? Have you elected to use User Specific Dex.ini settings? Are sufficient permissions granted for the target drive? Personally, I've never seen it happen if a mapped drive has been used. If you use a UNC path, the entire path structure must already exist before the system will display the paperclip - it won't automatically create the folders. Given that, are you dealing with a new company or an existing company?
Kind regards,
Leslie
Hi Michael, I am having the same problem. Were you able to resolve this?

Check the path of OLE path in dex.ini, is it the correct one where you were saving the attachments.
