CRM 2011 - insert custom ssrs report as part of the email content

Hi

i need to add the custom ms crm report into the email's body content. the request is that i need to create email that will be sent to the managers automatically with the report as part of the content. i dont know how to do it. appreciate if any one can share any idea or solution with me. thanks

    Hi,

    You can develop custom workflow to generate html contents for your report and then can place that in email body. You can also schedule it using workflow on specified time for example daily after office hours.

    hi thanks. hhmm but my problem is that the report have dynamic parameter meaning that i need to filter the information based on the managers. thats quite tricky for me

    Hi Amanda,

    You can convert the crm report to pdf file as Base64 and add as a attachment to the mail.

    This blog will help you to get a pdf file as an attachment from CRM report which has dynamic parameter.

    Hi Amanda,

    you can create a custom workflow as HIMBAP said and pass some parameters into this workflow, after that you can use these to "execute" the report, catch the result ad attached the file to the email.

    Hi,

    No , i don't think their is way where we can display the report result in email.

    Any way if you click on the attachment link it will open in your browser.

    Hi,

    You can create a custom entity let's say reportscheduler where you can have user lookup for manager and then while generating your html report you can bring data based on this lookup to filter resultset.

    Hi Mahen,

    I am having a requirement to put SSRS report content in Email body. Can you help in same..

    I am able to get report and attach as pdf/excel in Email till time from JS. I am working 2016 online version. Any help would be appreciated.
