When I was using Exact I could chose business concultancy with erik as one of the options, but in business central it just made each option a separate item. Is there a way the make it function like it did in Exact.

business concultancy -> Erik

    Depending on the exact requirement, you can use either Variants or Dimensions.

    With Variants, you have one item with multiple variants. Each variant has its own inventory, unit cost, etc.
    With Dimensions, you give a dimension tag for every transactions. Meaning that when you do a sales transactions, you specify what dimension this sales transaction belongs to.

    Hi,

    I think Item Variants might help with this.

    For example below I have an item called "Business Consultancy" which is a service type item. I then click "Related > Item > Variants" and setup the variants of Erik and Support.

    You can then add specific pricing per variant etc and pick up the Item and Variant on a Sales Order. (you may have to personalise to get the Variant column on the pages)

    Hope this helps

    Thanks
    Gavin
