With the pole display, the items being rung are displayed, otherwise your "pole display message" displays.  With a full customer display as a second/extended screen, you can display the transaction receipt (.htm) or scroll through URL's/files.  It doesn't seem that you can have it do both - display the files/pictures while not ringing, then display the receipt during the transaction.  Is that how it's setup - one or the other?

    Just to clarify your question you want to know whether you can have just the Net display set up to show items while ringing and ads while there are no transactions going through?

    Once you have clarified this, I will test on my end and see what I come up with.

    Hello Mary,

    Thank you for your clarification.

    What version of RMS are you running?

    I created a Net Display and enabled it for the register. I set the option to display the items pictures while ringing them up. In Store Operations POS Ctrl F6: Screen I went to the Net Display tab and checked the box for Show Net Display and Show receipt on Net Display. This seems to work for me.  

    Is this the same steps your going through?

    RMS SO 2.0.2000

    I did not check the item pictures, because this client doesn't have any pictures associated with their items.  I checked both those boxes and have the receipt Height = 100%.  I only ever see the receipt on the extended screen, never the files (.jpg files not URL's) in the group I selected for this register.

    When you say "This seems to work for me," do you mean you see the receipt while ringing and the Net Display Channel assigned in Manager while NOT ringing?

    Hello Mary,

    Thank you for your post.

    So when my POS system is just sitting there the top half of the net display shows the 'transaction' screen and the bottom half shows the web pages, you can change the size if you want in the Net Display properties. When I am in a transaction the items show up on the top part of the screen and then the bottom shows the web pages.

    This seems to be what you are looking for.

    What happens when you try this?

    No, this is not what I'm looking for.  As I mentioned above, I set mine to 100%.  There is no top and bottom part of the screen.  I do NOT want to see the web pages "at the same time" the receipt is showing, because I want the whole screen to show the transaction receipt as it is happening.  The Net/Customer Display (extended screen) is not a full size monitor.  It's smaller.

    I was hoping that while NOT ringing a transaction, in between sales, the screen would scroll through the web pages I setup in Manager.

    There is a cool, inexpensive, sleek monitor from DoubleSight that has it's own software to run this process, and we use it with RMS.
